In the ever-evolving sonic landscape of Alpha Wolf, their music transforms like a shapeshifting beast, defying expectations and breaking through boundaries with the weight of wrecking-ball dynamics and captivating off-kilter hooks. The Australian quinte has maintained their intensity on their third full-length offering, Half Living Things, self-producing and weaving together a visceral vision after years on the road. The album title perfectly encapsulates their state of being.
With a decade of sparking intrinsic reactions from audiences, Alpha Wolf crashed into the Top 30 of the ARIA Albums Chart with Mono [2017] followed up with A Quiet Place To Die [2020] debuting at #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart, earning a nomination for “Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album” at the ARIA Awards. KERRANG! rated it “4-out-of-5 stars,” and Distorted Sound called it “one of the great extreme/hardcore records of recent memory. This didn’t stop with Half Living Things, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Australian charts, and earning themselves a Grammy nomination for best boxed or limited edition packaging, with The Livewire saying “Alpha Wolf are on the precipice of something huge. I’ve said for years that they could be the next big breakout Australian metalcore act”.
Their international touring schedule reads like a novel, including North American tours with scene giants such as Motionless In White, Knocked Loose & Dayseeker, festival performances at Knotfest Australia alongside Slipknot, Parkway Drive, Megadeth, and more. While 2024 saw the return of their self-branded festival CVLT FEST, as well as their debut headline tour in the USA with multiple sold out shows across the country, their debut on the European festival circuit, and coming to a head with their biggest Australian tour to date, a complete sell out including iconic venues such as Forum Theatre in Melbourne, and their biggest headline show to date at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane.
In 2025, Alpha Wolf continued their unrelenting ascent, solidifying their position as one of modern metalcore’s most dominant forces. Riding the continued success of Half Living Things, their relentless touring schedule has seen them return to Asia, tackle their longest Australian headline tour with 20 dates across regional cities, a 30 date North American tour playing their biggest shows yet in the region, and finally ending the year across Europe & the UK.
